Use of machinery in the harvest season

Use of machinery in the harvest season

In the months of September and October, large tractors are used in agriculture.

Self-propelled maize choppers work day and night and farmers try to catch the best time for harvesting.

In maize choppers and combine harvesters, as in any newer agricultural machine, a lot of electronics are built in. These include electronic control units, instrument panels and control panels.

Newer combine harvesters can even be conveniently steered using joystick steering. In contrast to the conventional steering wheel, the machine can thus be steered with the left hand on the armrest in a comfortable sitting position.

The electronics of the forage harvesters must be maintained!

If the control units of the forage harvesters break down during the harvest, it can quickly become very expensive.

In the following examples, problems often occur that can only be solved by a competent repair workshop:

Terminals consist of complex technology and software systems that cost several thousand euros.

The keys of the joysticks and drive levers are susceptible to defects. Broken switches often lead to an annoying breakdown of the machine.

Electronic control units are responsible for the reliable functioning of important components of the forage harvester. If a light no longer works, this can also be due to the circuit board, for example.

A repair is easy on the wallet

You can save a lot of money with our repair service. Do you have an agricultural machinery workshop, are you a farmer or contractor? You can have defective agricultural machinery electronics repaired by us, both as a dealer and as an end customer.

After chopping maize and before the chopper is put back into storage, check whether the electronics are working:

- Can all the buttons on the control lever be operated?

- Does the circuit board of the chopper or combine control all relevant functions?

- Have the terminals in the machines been scratched or knocked and does the touch still work?

- Are all values shown correctly on the display instruments or are there errors?

Before the machines are shut down again, you should definitely send defective electronic parts for repair.

Simply fill out our repair form and send the defective part by post to:
