COVID-19 - The challenge for agriculture

Some businesses were closed, public life is severely restricted and many people fear for their livelihoods. The Corona pandemic has had a major impact on the economy. Agriculture in particular is one of the most important sectors to continue to supply the population with food. We all depend on food from agriculture even in difficult times like these. In order to support our local farmers, we should, above all, buy regionally.

Due to the Corona crisis, farmers are losing many helping hands that are needed for harvesting, for example. You as farmers must now try to work off as much as possible with the agricultural machinery. That is why it is especially important now that all equipment is working. Defective machines in the crisis would be a severe cut in productivity.

To be productive in these difficult times, you should also think about how you can use your staff more efficiently.

Remote control for your agricultural machine

For example, automate your agricultural machinery with the "Armrest Remote Control" comfort electronics. Thanks to automation, you can deploy employees more flexibly or do not have a total breakdown if employees are absent due to illness.

For example, install a new remote control option with radio remote control so that you can also operate your machine from outside. For example, you can switch the rear power take-off on and off simply by pressing a button.

Example: A grain auger is operated on the tractor and this is to be operated by the feeder vehicles by radio remote control without changing.

The CERES Protect anti-theft and fleet management system for agriculture

Optimise your sowing and harvesting operations with the help of our CERES Protect GPS tracking system:

| Improved transparency: Where are your machines at the moment? With a glance at the map you can see who is currently working on which job and where to go next

| Find out which fields have already been edited

| Optimum utilisation of the machines: What is the sequence within your harvesting chain? When does the next picker have to leave? Make your pick-up chains more efficient by letting your pick-up drivers know where incoming machines are and how many are driving in a chain

| GPS tracking: Long phone calls explaining to your driver where the shredder is or which field it needs to go to are a thing of the past.
